Armed Forces Medical Services on 18 October 2005 along with Dr Sampath K
Krishnan, NPO (CDS) to discuss areas of collaboration of WHO with the armed
forces medical services. The WR noted the excellent work carried out by the

thanked the WR for the Emergency Surgical Kits which were of great help in
the immediate response in the affected areas. Discussions were also held on
increasing collaboration in integrated disease surveillance (especially

they could be effectively utilized by the central and state governments to
support the above activities.
