Dr Paramita
Sudharto has worked at WHO Country Office India since October 2003 as Public
Health Administrator. Her main responsibility is to assist WHO
Representative in managing the WHO Collaborative Programme, including
coordination, planning, and evaluation of the programmes, with emphasis on
achieving health related Millennium Development Goals and poverty
alleviation. In addition, she is also the coordinator of “3 by 5”, an
initiative to scale up Anti Retro Viral treatment for people living with
HIV/AIDS. Prior to this assignment she worked in WHO Country Offices in
Nepal (1999 to 2003) and Indonesia (1997-1999).
She holds a
Medical Doctor degree from University of Indonesia, Jakarta and a Master of
Public Health from School of Public Health, University of Hawaii, USA.
