Fellowships
This component is meant to support training facilities both within the
country and overseas. The current trend and emphasis is on in-country
fellowships because:
these are cost-effective, i.e.
more fellows can be trained with limited resources;
placements and logistics are
easier;
these strengthen/build up capacity
of local institutions;
the training is more
country-relevant.
Funds
allocated under Fellowships - both in-country and overseas - cover the cost
of travel, subsistence allowance and training charges.
The
process involved is explained in Fig. 2. The forms for application and
termination of studies report are in Annexure 10 and 11.
