Dr. Dinesh Chand Katoch has been working at WHO Country Office for India since
April 2008. He is part of the Health Systems Development cluster to provide
technical assistance in implementing WHO-Government of India
cooperation strategy in the area of Traditional Indian Medicine and
Homeopathy. Dr. Katoch is responsible
for planning, coordination and technical evaluation of the collaborative
programmes being undertaken for AYUSH.
In addition, he is also the focal point in WHO-India Office to promote
and coordinate the traditional medicine and AYUSH programs and related
matters.
Prior to his present assignment in WHO, Dr.
Katoch worked with Government of India in the Department of AYUSH, Ministry
of Health & Family Welfare as Deputy Adviser (Ayurveda). He has about 25 year’s professional
experience in clinical practice, teaching and policy & planning related
inter alia to Ayurveda.
He holds
BAMS degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar
(Punjab), MD (Ayurved) degree of University of Rajasthan
from National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and master degree in Sanskrit from Himachal
Pradesh University,
