Dr
Sunanda Gupta is working at the WHO
Country Office India
since November 2008. She helps in implementing the WHO-GOI Collaborative
Programme in close association with the Public Health Administrator and
National Professional Officer. Her areas of work include Making Pregnancy
Safer, Skilled Birth Attendance, Reproductive Health and Research, Nursing
& Midwifery and Gender and Women Health. She provides technical
assistance and oversight to proposals and facilitates their implementation.
She previously worked in the Institute of Health
Research and Policy, Chicago
(2005-2008) and as a Consultant and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and
Gynaecology at Safdurjung
Hospital, New Delhi (1984-2005).
She is a Medical Doctor with
specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also holds a Master of
Public Health and Certificate in Public Health Informatics from School of Public Health,
University of Illinois,
Chicago.
