Medical Colleges all over the country, resource persons from MOHFW, GOI and
WHO-India.
The conference spanned a host of technical and scientific
sessions pertaining to a wide array of topics. A special WHO session was
organized and included presentations on the following topics:

Evidence based Interventions for Improving
Maternal/ Reproductive Health
Facility based Maternal Death Reviews
The Country office also conducted an orientation workshop
on the “WHO Reproductive Health Library no. 9” for 100 participants on a
first- cum –first basis to promote the use of evidence based medicine in
decision making for the betterment of reproductive health. The workshop was especially
meant for young faculty and post graduate students. Sessions were conducted
on a regular basis for every 10-12 participants where they were oriented to
the need and use of RHL through a power point presentation and then imparted
hands on training on the computers. The workshop received an enthusiastic
response both from the organizers as well as the participants.
It was recommended that such workshops should be organized
on an annual basis at every AICOG conference and should be widely popularized
by the organizers.
