Terms of Reference

1. To strengthen occupational health research capability and carry out occupational health research in the un-organized and organized sectors of the industries

2. To develop national human resources essential for occupational health activities at by developing and implementing curriculum for factory inspectors, medical inspectors and laboratory staff

3. To develop regional human resources essential for occupational health activities for WHO fellows in from member countries

4. To participate in the global and regional occupational health strategy by implementing specific task forces including child labour, elimination of silicosis, promotion of OSH and development of prevention strategy

5. to promote networking among government and non-government agencies in strengthening occupational health in India and the region through common program of TB and HIV at the work-place

6. To undertake national and regional work on occupational work on an evolving basis for WHO
