1. To conduct epidemiological research in diabetes
prevention at community level, its complications and cardiovascular risk
factors;
2. To strengthen education and training in diabetes research, prevention
and control;
3. To design and test on models of diabetes health care delivery system for
developing countries in the region and contribute to activities of national
diabetes programme.
