WHO
provided technical support in securing UNAIDS PAF funds for Strengthening of
VCT services in India
(USD 400,000), for technical support to NACO (USD 1,000,000) and for capacity
building of state level epidemiologists in estimations and projections (USD
175,000).
WHO serves as a member on the Country Coordination Mechanism (CCM) and provides ongoing support to Global Fund for AIDS,
Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM)
proposal writing (GFATM Rd 3, 4, 5) and implementation of GFATM Rd 2, 3 and
4. WHO also supported the establishment of a CCM secretariat to
facilitate workings of the CCM.
