The health repository is
a gateway to information on health sector and health system from an Indian
perspective. It seeks to bring together in one place various type of
information relating to research findings, innovative initiatives, data and
statistics, policies and guidelines from published and unpublished sources by
government (National, State, autonomous agencies, etc) as well as
non-governmental agencies, bi-lateral and multi-lateral agencies for enhanced
evidence based planning and implementation of health care programmes.
It is envisaged that such
information would be useful for researchers, academicians, policy makers and
others. This initiative has been supported by the WHO India Office in

a collaborative initiative, the information presently being entered by
several institutions. The success of this initiative lies in increased use

in a pre-determined format after a free registration. The information
submitted would be reviewed before it is available for public viewing.
