Award of STOP TB Kochon Prize to Dr L. S. Chauhan
The Stop TB Partnership has
awarded the first year’s Stop TB Partnership Kochon
Prize to Dr L. S. Chauhan, Deputy Director General,
Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. This prize is awarded to nominees who
have made a significant contribution to tuberculosis control. This
international recognition of Dr Chauhan and the
Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme in
India is the result of the unwavering commitment of the state and district programme managers, and the hard work and diligence of
staff involved in the Programme.
