Visit of Dr LEE Jong-wook, WHO Director-General, to
India
Dr LEE Jong-wook visited
India from 5 – 8 April 2005, as a ‘State Guest’ of the Government of India,
for the World Health Day 2005 celebrations; release of the World Health
Report 2005; participation in the high level meeting of the Partnership on
Maternal, Newborn and Child Health; presentation of the World Health Report
2005 to the Hon. Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh; and visit to Tsunami
affected areas.
