The
Tobacco Cessation Centre at NOTE, Goa
commemorated World No Tobacco Day 2008. To convey solidarity towards the
cause of tobacco control, eminent personalities from local administration, corporates and civil society as well as 5000 persons tied
black ribbons to a large dummy cigarette. A weeklong anti tobacco awareness
campaign was carried out by airing anti-tobacco messages on local radio
channels.
