New Delhi dated the 11th March,
2002
No. MCI- 211(2)2001-Regn. In exercise of the powers conferred under
section 20A read with section 33(m) of the Indian Medical Council Act,
1956 (102 of 1956), the Medical Council of India, with the previous approval
of the Central Government, hereby makes the following
regulations relating to the Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics for
registered medical practitioners, namely:-
Short Title and Commencement:
(1) These Regulations may be called
the Indian Medical Council (Professional
conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002.
(2)
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
