A function for the release of the “Doctor’s Handbook on Fluorosis” was organized on the 13th of March, 2007 at Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and WHO-India supported the Fluorosis Research and Rural Development Foundation, New Delhi in developing this handbook.

The function for the release of the hand book rolled out with an introduction by Prof. A.K Susheela to the problem, varied presentations and myths associated with Fluorosis. The need for provision of necessary infrastructure for early diagnosis and treatment of this silent tragedy and incorporation into the medical curriculum was also reiterated in her introductory address.
