WHO/Government of India Collaborative Programme

Guidelines for Preparation of Proposals Monitoring & Information on Technical Collaboration

2. Expert Advisory Panel (EAP)

An expert advisory panel (EAP) consists of experts from whom the Organization may obtain technical guidance and support on a given subject, either by correspondence or at meetings to which the experts may be invited by WHO. Any person possessing qualifications and/or experience relevant and useful to the activities of the Organization in a field covered by an established EAP may be considered for appointment as a member of that panel, after consultation with concerned national authorities, i.e. MoH&FW in the case of India.

WHO encourages developing countries in all regions to send nominations for these panels.  Selection is based on an expert’s technical ability and experience.  A maximum term of up to four years is given at a time.  The WHO Director-General may renew the term when such renewal is warranted by specific programme requirements.
